CFD Investigation of Dry Tray Pressure Drop of Perforated Trays without Downcomer

The dry tray pressure drop behaviors in trays without downcomer with different inclination of holes (standard, 75°, 60° and 45°) thickness (2.5, 5, 10 mm) are investigated. investigated using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) Ansys Fluent® software. 20 °C air was used to represent the gas phase 20–50 m3/h flow rates. column there four 7 mm hole diameter.The CFD results determined that higher angle respect causes smaller turbulence intensity flow. Furthermore, 75° inclined perforated standard is similar. From simulation it also case lower.On basis some correlations can be for calculation trays.
